Rustic Barn Wedding

Where do I begin? I loved everything about this wedding! Joanna and Cody are two of my favorite people and I was lucky enough to not only do the flowers, but also be in the wedding. They paid attention to every little detail which gave this wedding such an amazingly personal feel. Every aspect of this wedding represented who the bride and groom are and created such a relaxed atmosphere for all. The ceremony was beautiful!

The reception was in the red barn that is on the property. They also took some beautiful pictures next to the old wooden barn.

From homemade jam and jerky for favors, to hand painted signs, old fashioned games, family pies for dessert, every detail was perfect!

All these beautiful pictures were taken by La Vida Creations I HIGHLY recommend them! www.lavidacreations.com

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day at the flower shop was a lot of fun this year. We had great weather and a great crew of people helping. This was my daughter Brooklyn's first Valentine's Day at the flower shop and she loved it. She spent most of the time with her nana, but she did stop by occasionally to watch us all work.

We had a tent full of beautiful flowers for our customers to choose from and a very full cooler of flowers for back up.

Valentine's Day was a lot of fun this year, it's always fun to see all our customers come out for this special occasion. Here are just a few of the designs we made.

Children's Museum Wedding

Katey and Eric got married at the Children's Museum in San Diego. Katey is an interior designer and had a great vision for her wedding. She wanted to contrast the cold cement wall at the ceremony and the inside of the museum with delicate green flowers. She wanted a "wall" of flowers to hang from the awning at the ceremony. This was quite a task given the awning above was 16 feet tall and 30 feet wide. So...we created 22 strands of flowers that were 12 feet long to drape down in front of the cement wall. To create the strands of flowers we used a lei needle and strung the flowers on a thick fishing line. We used white dendrobium orchids, green hanging amaranthus, green bells of Ireland, Italian ruscus and green spider mums. It was really fun to create something so unique.
